4. Local Storage (Your Browser)
Most data stays on your device:
- bsa-membership: Your membership tier and activation date
- bsa-completed-modules: Which modules you've finished
- bsa-earned-sats: Sats earned through Apprentice program
- bsa-analytics-events: Anonymous usage events (page views, funnel)
- bsa-assessment: Your learning path quiz results
You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings. We cannot recover it for you.
5. Email Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter or provide your email:
- We use it only to send educational content and platform updates
- We never sell or share your email with third parties
- You can unsubscribe anytime with one click
- We use Substack or similar privacy-respecting email providers
6. Payment Processing
Stripe (for Sovereign tier):
- We do not store your credit card details
- Stripe processes payments securely under their privacy policy
- We receive only confirmation of successful payment
Lightning (for Apprentice tier):
- Lightning payments are pseudonymous by nature
- We do not link payments to personal identity
- Payment hashes are stored locally for your records
7. AI Tutor
When you use the AI Tutor:
- Conversations are processed by the AI provider (Gemini/Anthropic)
- We do not store your conversations on our servers
- If using BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), your API key is stored locally in your browser
- We may use anonymized interaction patterns to improve prompts
8. Third-Party Services
We use minimal third-party services:
- GitHub Pages: Hosts our static site
- Stripe: Processes card payments
- Alby/Lightning: Processes Lightning payments
- Substack: Manages newsletter (optional)
Each service has its own privacy policy. We've chosen providers that respect user privacy.
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Session cookies for basic functionality (not tracking)
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No cross-site tracking
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (most is in your browser's localStorage)
- Delete your data (clear localStorage or contact us)
